Last year, when I shaved a little more off for my current PR, my Garmin said 3.1, though.

I love the Philly Half -- the course is a neat tour of downtown Philly, I'd say 3/4 of it is flat, and it's been cold both times I've run it. (The 2nd half of the marathon then loops westward along the river...I can't speak to what that's like yet)

Haven't done Bird-in-Hand half but a few people have said it was fun. If that fits nicely into my training that week I might do it.

@FFS -- Now I want to try to think of how many 5K's I've actually done. Most are pretty forgettable but I can only think of a few that weren't at least fun at the time.Brianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02814804554194390618noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-814082344307223103.post-42712986525265725632011-07-13T20:54:14.290-04:002011-07-13T20:54:14.290-04:00Wow you've done a lot of races, and those were...Wow you've done a lot of races, and those were just your favourites!

Thanks for stopping by my page, your encouragement means a lot!Qhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00472904236438692071noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-814082344307223103.post-89266029094324356112011-07-13T18:01:33.227-04:002011-07-13T18:01:33.227-04:00I loved the Harrisburg Jingle Run as well, I ran i...I loved the Harrisburg Jingle Run as well, I ran it for the first time last year and PRed! It was weird because I was actually training for Shamrock at the time, so my schedule called for 16 miles that day - I ran 13 miles in my neighborhood, then drove to Harrisburg and ran my best 5k to get to 16 miles.

I haven't done the Philly Half though, it's so close that I feel silly not doing it at some point.

Have you run the Amish Bird-in-Hand? It's inaugural run was last year and it was an amazing race.T-Bonehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07487660517011845329noreply@blogger.com
